Icelear at the Malaysia International Fisheries and Aquaculture Exhibition 2023
In June 2023, Icelear took part in the Malaysia International Fisheries and Aquaculture Exhibition in Melaka, Malaysia.
The exhibition brought together businesses and professionals connected with fisheries, aquaculture and related industries. For an ice-making equipment manufacturer, this was a useful opportunity to present different ice-making technologies and discuss how ice can support cooling and handling requirements in these industries.
Meeting the Needs of Fisheries and Aquaculture
Ice plays an important role in many parts of the fisheries and seafood supply chain.
From harvesting and initial handling to transportation, processing and display, the right type of ice can help maintain low product temperatures during handling.
Different applications may require different ice characteristics. Flake ice, for example, is commonly used where good product coverage and close contact are important. Other applications may call for tube ice, slurry ice or different ice-making configurations.
This was one of the reasons we brought several types of ice-making equipment to the exhibition.
Equipment Presented at the Exhibition
At the Malaysia exhibition, we presented a selection of ice-making equipment and components, including:
- Flake Ice Machines
- Tube Ice Machines
- Ice Machine Evaporators
- Slurry Ice Machines
These products represent different approaches to producing and using ice.
A flake ice machine can produce thin ice flakes for cooling and handling applications. Tube ice provides individual pieces of ice that can be suitable for different storage, transportation and commercial uses. Slurry ice, with its ice crystals suspended in a liquid medium, offers another approach to rapid and close-contact cooling.
The evaporator is a key component within the refrigeration system and plays an important role in the ice-making process.
A Closer Look at the Equipment
Rather than presenting only finished machines, we also brought an ice machine evaporator to the exhibition.
For visitors who work with refrigeration and ice-making systems, the evaporator provides a more direct view of how the refrigeration cycle connects with the ice-making process.
Showing both complete machines and core components also allowed us to introduce different aspects of ice-making equipment in a practical way.
Looking Back at the Exhibition
The Malaysia International Fisheries and Aquaculture Exhibition was one of our opportunities to meet people from an industry where reliable ice supply is closely connected with product handling and temperature control.
For us, participating in exhibitions is not only about displaying equipment. It is also a way to better understand how customers use ice in different working environments and what they expect from an ice-making system.
